Harriet Schafer Saved Me

Harriet Schafer was a fantastic, loving, enthusiastic lady that had a huge impact on my life.  She died at the young age of sixty-seven, and she left behind many people who still miss her every day, including me.

She was someone who felt trapped by her own body, and she had given away all her power to change it.  She didn’t get serious about weight loss until it was too late.  The damage to her joints, muscles, organs, veins, and arteries had already reached irreparable levels when she finally committed herself to change.

She made it plainly clear that she did not want anyone she loved to ever reach the weight she had obtained.  She wanted better for me, and she made sure I knew it.

This is in her memory.
